LaDeane Fetters Obituary
age 93, of Canton, formerly of East Sparta, passed away Sat. June 19, 2021. She was born July 29, 1927 in Mineral City, a daughter of the late Clifford and Kathryn (Broad) Steinbaugh, and resided in East Sparta most of her life. LaDeane was a 1945 graduate of Mineral City High School. She worked at The Timken Co. for several years after high school and then worked with her husband at his gas station, Fetters Shell Service, later Fetters Garage, and also J & R Auto Parts. She was a member of East Sparta United Methodist Church, Class #6 of the church, and the Women's Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Junie Fetters on Dec. 3, 2003, and a sister, Iris Shew. LaDeane is survived by her daughter and son, JuDeane (Drew) Luntz and Randy (Stacy) Fetters, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Adam (Jodi) Luntz, and their children, Simone, Eliza, and Adrian, Ashley (Michael) Shaheen, and their children, Denise and Drew, Allie (Christopher) Laber, and Mandi (Doug) Vonderhaar, and their son, Dean.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11 a.m. in East Sparta United Methodist Church with Pastor Josh Daniels officiating. The family will receive friends in the church Fellowship Hall immediately following the service during a luncheon. The family would like to thank the Staff of The Inn at Belden Village for the love and care over the past four years that LaDeane was in their care.
