LaRue Williams Obituary

LaRue H. 'Sunny' Williams
age 91, passed away Friday evening in Chapel Hill Community. She was born Aug. 17, 1918 in Hazelton, Pa., daughter to the late Lawrence and Mae (Hamilton) Sonn. She was a 1936 graduate of McKinley High School, had worked at the Timken Company and Dime Bank. LaRue was a member of Dueber United Methodist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 190.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gaston Farnsworth Williams; stepmother, Viola Sonn; stepbrother, Herbert Hose and nephew, Larry Hose. She is survived by her nephew, Steve Hose of Cincinnati; great-nephews, Brian and Sean Hose of Houston, Texas and Mark Hose of Massillon; and numerous nieces and nephews from Millersburg, Killbuck, Warsaw and Mt. Vernon.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel with Rev. Dr. Chester Harris officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the services from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. OES Legacy Chapter 596 will hold their Eastern Star service at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to Chapel Hill Community in Canal Fulton.
