LEAH SCHAFER Obituary
Rev. Dr. Leah Schafer, of Mineral City, passed away on March 1, 2021. Leah was born in Ft. Ord, CA, daughter of Marilyn and the late Gordon Schafer. She earned her MA in Theology at Yale University and her PhD in Theology at Catholic University. She was a Lutheran Minister at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Canton. Leah enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and puppy, Sophie.
Leah married Arthur Cubbon, Jr. (deceased) on June 3, 2006. Surviving are her mother, Marilyn Schafer; her daughters, Erin Balloue (James); and Rachel Frederickson (Robin); her grandchildren, Adeline and Raelyn; her sister, Lori Schafer (Bob Pierce); and her brother, David DeBono-Schafer (Diane).
