Lisa Isom Obituary
Age 51, of Canton passed away unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 13, 2020. Born Dec. 6, 1968 in Canton, Ohio to Terry and Brenda (Griffin) Potter. She was a 1987 graduate of Canton South High School. Lisa worked as a caregiver for developmentally disabled individuals. She loved to go to auctions looking for antiques.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Donald and Dorothy Potter, Paul and Louwilda Griffin. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Jim D. Isom; a daughter, Jessica Potter; a son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Tessa Isom; three grandchildren, Kaelyn and Taylor Bing, Brynna Ebert; parents, Terry and Brenda Potter; a sister and brother-in-law, Lynette and Paul Hunt; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be no public services a private memorial service will be conducted.

My sympathies to your entire family including Lisa's children, grandchildren, and sister Lynette. Lisa and I graduated in the same class at Canton South High School. Lisa and I were in the band together both playing clarinet. She always was ahead of me in FIRST chair!! She was great competition but I couldn't get that chair. We spent summers hanging out at her parent's house and swimming at another classmate's house in the neighborhood. I can remember when Jessica came home. I baked her a welcome home cake. Maybe you still have pictures of that. I always remember how welcoming Terry was to let me spend time with Lisa even on his days when he was cleaning house which usually were Fridays every week. He really didn't mind that I was there. Lisa was always kind, fun to be around, and always laughing. I can see how she took a path in the medical field providing selfless care to others especially after training for the field in high school. I graduated as a RN although our paths never crossed at Aultman. I wish they had. May your memories of Lisa be eternal. She was a great friend and always a kind person.
