Lois Yocom Obituary

Lois P. Yocom
Age 86, of Wooster, died Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Smithville-Western Care Center in Wooster.
Memorial services will be Sunday TODAY 12:30 p.m. at Custer- Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster with Pastor Kevin Phipps officiating. A private interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to: The American Cancer Society, Northeast Region, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, Ohio 44406. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at: www.custerglenn.com.
She was born on September 4, 1923 in Canton, Ohio to Vernon & Florence (Fisher) Stover. She married John G. "Jack" Yocom in Homestead, Florida on August 31, 1943. He passed away in 1993.
She was a member of Central Christian Church in Wooster; enjoyed boating and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Kidd of Creston, Ohio, Tina (Jim) Wensink of Findlay, Ohio and Carol (Carl) Baker of Wooster; grandchildren, Susan Barber, Shawnna Sizemore, Alicia Kuntz, John Wensink, Kara and Kelly Baker and Jared Yocom-Baker; and 9 great-grandchildren.; a brother- in-law, William Fitzpatrick.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, she is preceded in death by a sister, Olive Fitzpatrick.
