Louis Reicosky Obituary

Louis B. Reicosky
age 88, of Navarre passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Louis was born May 20, 1924 in Canton to the late John and Martha Reicosky. A World War II Army Veteran of the 44th Division he served in central Europe and northern France. He was a member of the Ohio Operating Engineers and retired in 1982. Louis was a member of Holy Family Parish, Navarre Campus and Navarre VFW Post 5047. He enjoyed fishing and farming and was an avid horseshoe player. His favorite pastime was watching the Browns, the Indians, and the Buckeyes.
Several brothers, Harold, John, Charles and Joseph Reicosky; and two sisters, Evelyn Riley and Mary Cvakel all preceded him in death. Louis will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Isabelle (Lab) Reicosky; sons, Steve and Tim Reicosky of Navarre, and Dan Reicosky of Akron; daughters, Barbara (Tom) Competty and Susan (Larry) Clements of Jackson Twp.; grandchildren, Adam (Brittany) Reicosky, Carin (Dwayne) Hoover, Matthew (Carrie) Competty, Lauren (Robert) Strobel, Braden Competty, Justin and Joshua Clements, and Isabelle Reicosky; and great-grandchildren, Gracen and Carter Competty, and Aiden Hoover.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday Sept. 27 at Holy Family Parish, Navarre Campus. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Navarre. Interment will be in St. Clement Parish Cemetery. Online guest registry may be signed at
