Maddalena Dasco Obituary

'Together Again'
Maddalena (Vizzuso) Dasco
age 93, of Canton, passed away Saturday. Born in Tricarico, Basilicata, Italy to the late Antonio and Rosa (Lacertosa) Vizzuso, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sabato Dasco, sister, Filomena Dabraio and brother-in-law, Pasquale Dabraio and brother, Nicolo Vizzuso and brother-in-law, Dominic Infantino.
She was a member of St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish since 1958 and the Miraculous Medal Sodality. She will always be remembered for her taralli and pizza frittis which she made with Commara Maria Del Gatto. She retried from Timken Mercy Medical Center after 15 years of service in food preparation.
She is survived by her children, Maria (Louis) Capaldi of Canton, Pietro (Kathy) Dasco of East Canton, Rosa (Joel) Skolnik of Beachwood, Ohio, Antoinetta (Bill) Poulos of Canton; ten grandchildren, (Nathan and Melanie, Samuel, Alex and Kim Capaldi, Jonathan, Aliza and Sabina Skolnik, Bill and Samuel Poulos, Patricia and Sabato Dasco; two great-grandchildren, (Jacob and Zoe Capaldi); sister-in-law, Maria Infantino; nephew, Benny Infantino; his daughter, Mary and his partner, Karen Price, all of Canton. There are numerous nieces and nephews in Italy who thought of her as their mother as well (Pancrazio and Teresa, Nicolo and Maria, Rachele, Antonio and Rosa, Rocco and Anna, and Rosa Dabraio and all their children.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Rossi Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be cele.brated on Thursday at 10 a.m at St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish with Rev. Fr. Thomas Kraszewski celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Maddalena's name may be made to St. Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish.
