Marc Allen Obituary

Marc Lance Allen

was born Nov. 6, 1971 in Massillon, Ohio to George Allen and Bernadine Pittman Carruth. He passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. Marc attended Massillon City Elementary Schools and Canton South High School. He went on to complete the State of Ohio Department of Health Nurse Aide Training Program and was later employed at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio. From 1989 to 1990, Marc served in the United States Army during the Gulf War "Desert Storm". In 2001, he served in Operation Enduring Freedom until he was released from active duty with an honorable discharge in 2003.

Marc accepted Christ at an early age and spent many years serving at his local church and sharing his faith with others. In 2016-17, he studied Theology and received his minister's license from Logos Bible Institute in Akron, Ohio. He was ordained as a minister in Sharon, Pa., by Apostle Brian Pleasant. He ministered and diligently served the youth at the Bridge Over Trouble Waters Ministry in Canton, Ohio under the leadership of Apostle Carrie Brown. In August 2020, he traveled to Jamaica and was elevated to Apostle under the guidance of Dr. D Watson, Kingdom Connections Global Ministries.

Marc was passionate about health and fitness. He exercised and weight trained regularly and was enrolled in courses at the National Academy of Sports Medicine. An avid sports enthusiast, Marc was a loyal Pittsburg Steelers fan and recently became a member of the owners' club for the Texas Legends Basketball team. A businessman in his own right, Marc founded "Admired Radio Ministries & Arm1Fitness" and "ICE Xcellence". He had plans to launch "The Amped Apostle" an organization focusing on mental and spiritual health, physical fitness, nutrition and natural healing. Marc was fun, energetic, and loved being around people. He was known for his positive outlook towards life and his ability to encourage and motivate others. After moving to Dallas, he met and fell in love with Tammy Davis and together they were planning a wedding for October 2021. He was loved and warmly embraced by Tammy, her family, friends and coworkers.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Bernadine Carruth and his maternal and paternal grandparents. He leaves to cherish his memory, father George (Idella) Allen; siblings, Anna Lavette (Samuel) Lee, Gail Allen (David Tarver), Ranae Trotter, Audra (Byron) Fields; fiancée, Tammy Davis; uncle, Ezra (Shelia) Pittman; two aunts, Edna "Dixie" Smith, Esther Bryant; nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.
