age 98, of Hartville,
passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2009. She was born on May 16, 1910, in Magnolia, Ohio to Dr. George C. and Minnie May (Griffeth) Woods. Peg was a 1928 graduate of Canton McKinley High School where she met her future husband, John J. Roemer. After graduation she worked at the Bank of Magnolia. Jack and Peg were married on December 15, 1934. They moved to Hartville from Rocky River, OH in 1967. Jack and Peg shared nearly 61 years of marriage before Jack's death in 1995. Family always came first, and Peg was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church in Canton, Congress Lake Club, Congress Lake Garden Club, past member of The Women's Board of Aultman Hospital. She is survived by her three children and spouses, Jon W. and Nancy K. Roemer of Dover, OH, Jerry R. and Ann R. Roemer of Greenwood Village, CO, and Sally R. and Thomas P. Hobson of Denver, CO; five grandchildren and spouses, Karin and Peter Berthiaume of Sunapee, NH, John J. and Kelly Roemer of San Clemente, CA, Gretchen R. and Rick Hutchinson of Fairfield, CT, Jeffrey D. and Karlyn Roemer of Greenwood Village, CO, and Jill and Jeff Yates of Newport Beach, CA; nine great-grandchildren, Jack Berthiaume, Peggy Hutchinson, Hugh Hutchinson, Alexa Rae Roemer, Avery Rae Roemer, Jacob T. Roemer, twins, Robert and Aubyn Roemer, and Carson Yates. Funeral services are Thursday 2 p.m. in the Arnold Funeral Home, Hartville with Rev. Raymond Tucker officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service (Thursday 1-2 p.m.). Final resting place is West Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Simpson United Methodist Church, 4900 Middlebranch NE, Canton, OH 44705.
