Margaret Welsh Obituary
age 90, died Sunday. Born in Terre Haute, Ind., she had lived in Canton since 1946. She was a retired registered nurse and teacher from Aultman Hospital and the Aultman School of Nursing. Peggy was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and was a American Red Cross volunteer. She was a World War II Army veteran. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Welsh; son, John W. Welsh; daughter, Sue Ellen Mendez; parents, James Stanton and Margaret Callahan; stepfather, Neil Callahan; sister, Mary Jane Stanton; and aunt and uncle, Bill and Helen Mayle.
Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patrice and James Walsh of Bluffton, S.C.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael 'Mick' and Stephanie 'Stevie' Welsh of Clinton and James and Sue Welsh of Plano, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will meet on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. G. David Weikart as celebrant. Burial with Military Honors will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 9-10 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers donations will be made to the American Red Cross. The Lamiell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be made to:
