MARILYN KELLER Obituary

Marilyn Sue (Fulton) Keller

passed away peacefully on Friday, April 6th. She was 83. Born in Wellsville, Ohio, during the Great Depression, Marilyn (called Sue by family and friends) excelled at pretty much anything that sparked her interest. Although Sue held several secretarial and clerical jobs throughout her life, those who knew and loved her will remember her for her sharp wit and feisty sense of humor. In the early 50s, she met and married her husband, Frank, and they settled and raised their family of four in Perry Township. Sue was the kind of mother who would craftily make her children's clothes, birthday cakes, and chocolate Easter bunnies-all while serving on the PTO and chaperoning the marching band bus. As her children grew up and gave her grandchildren, Sue taught herself to make baby quilts, turning scraps of fabric into cherished treasures. She loved all kinds of movies and music and books, quickly adopting new technologies to access more and more of them. She knew a little something about virtually everything, which made her both a wonderful teacher and a dangerous Trivial Pursuit opponent. More than anything, Sue was great company-and conversations with her were filled with laughter and amusement.

Sue is survived by her children, Joan (Charles) Cather, Jeffery (Dora) Keller, Mark (Carolyn) Keller, Kristen (Brandon) Merritt; step-daughter, Julie (Richard) Stoddard; grandchildren, Heath (Emily) Cather, Heather Cather, Matthew (Carissa) Keller, Ashley (Tim) Ernst, Allison (Jason) Keller, Steven Keller, Benjamin Keller, Hannah Keller, Autumn Oshell, Skylar Oshell, Sosie Merritt, and Rhys Merritt; step-grandsons, Richard Stoddard and Brian Stoddard; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Frank; her parents, John and Maxine (Zeiner) Fulton; granddaughter, Emily Keller; and sister, Patricia (Fulton) Hayworth.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10th, at Reed Funeral Home, 705 Raff Road in Canton followed by a service at 12 p.m. and burial at Henry Warstler Cemetery at 5500 Middlebranch Avenue NE in Canton. Aunt Sue and Uncle Frank were a big influence on my life. Only 10 years older, so more like a big sister to me. I loved going to stay with them. She was so much fun to be around and my Mom loved her so.
