My wife and I owe a great debt of graditude to sister Painter. When we were just new Christians, she was a great example of faith and hope in Christ. We know she prayed for us as we went to Bible college and into the pastoral ministry.Throughout life she withstood the many trials sent her way,but through it all she stood strong and unwavering. We were blessed just having known her.May God continue to bless her family by her memory.

Janice and family--There are no words for such a loss. When I visited with Mrs. Painter at the hospital, I thought I would cheer her up in some way. Was I ever wrong! She was the one who encouraged me! She gave me a powerful witness to her faith even though she was so very ill and weak herself. What a legacy of faith and love she leaves. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Pastor Steve Kimbrel--North Industry Christian Church (I'm that guy that always goes through your line at the store. You were such a comfort to me in my father's illness and passing.)

We are sadden to hear of the passing of Melba. What an incredible inspiration she has been to so many. Her inspiration and legacy continues to touch lives. In spite of her unsettled health, her faith remained strong even until the end. That is something I will never forget. Our prayers will be with the family in this time of grief, but we rejoice in the fact that she has won her race and fought the good fight.
