Cindy and Family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. I will always remember her wearing the beautiful Homecoming/prom dresses, and all the pre-dance photos at megan popes house. She was a joy to be around, and had such a beautiful smile. She will be missed greatly.

My sister and I grew up with Melissa in Willowdale and the neighborhood crew was inseperable. Melissa was always the life of the group...funny, smart, absolutley beautiful. She will be missed so much by Tiffany and I. Cindy, I am so sorry, our hearts our breaking for you. Melissa absolutely adored you, she couldn't have asked for a better mother and friend. From Heaven, Melissa is smiling down on all of us and with prayer, God will guide us through the pain.

Melissa, I can still remember you all those years ago as a baby, toddler, little girl....always the light of your mom and dad's eyes! It was always so cute to hear what the magic number of "boyfriends" you had from preschool. And I think you really enjoyed teasing me that you were going to be a chearleader instead of running track. It took a lot to get over that one! I only wish as we grew older we could have shared more time together. You are so loved and will always be greatly missed. When Uncle Rodger passed away, I also remember you speaking about him and how he loved the outdoors. Your sentiment to go outside and "breathe him in" has forever stuck in my head. At that moment, I realized you had become an amazing young woman, no longer a little girl, and so full of love!
I take that thought with me when I go to the Jackson Bog to clear my mind and have my private special time. As I said "until next time" yesterday, I knew you'd both be with me as I quickly headed home to "breathe", there will never be a goodbye.
Cindy and Earl, please...if you ever need anything I'm just a few minutes away. Know that Melissa's contageous smile will contine to shine upon us now and forever.
Love, Faith and the boys

I went to HS with Melissa. Though a grade below me, I knew her so well thru Matson, Meg Pope and that gang. I do remember the Kent parties so well...as well as Video & Sun days. I was so surprised to hear of her passing. Such a beautiful girl with an awesome smile! Matson, Megan--I can't imagine the pain you must feel loosing your friend. Ger ahold of me if you all need anything. And, Cindy--I never met you...but, just becoming a mom myself recently, I cannot bear the thought of what YOU are going thru. There is no love like a mother's love....that is for sure. Take peace in knowing your daughter brought happiness to so many and is watching over us all now.

I met Melissa through Megan Pope when we were in middle school. I was 2 grades ahead of her but she was so much fun to be around and like some one else mentioned, she lit up a room when she walked in. I hadn't seen Melissa in years. I was truly shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. Please know that she is in a better place and will be watching over you in your times of struggle. She was a wonderful person and we will all miss her dearly. Do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything I can do to help you in your time of sadness. Take care.

I hadn't seen Melissa in a very long time. We went to the Jackson Christian Daycare together in Elementary school and I lived in Willowdale. She was such a nice girl and we played together all the time at daycare. I was really shocked to see her obituary in the paper today. So sorry for your loss.

I am in complete shock and so very sad to hear of Melissa's passing. We worked together a few years back at Friday's, and she was such a special friend! We had so many wonderful times together, including a most memorable and wild trip to Windsor. My thoughts and prayers are with Melissa's family; may God bless you all, and keep Melissa in his loving arms for all eternity.

Melissa, although we only knew eachother for a short time, I consider you a friend. We shared our first clinical experience together, and that is a memory I will hold close to my heart. After clinicals and finals, we were on our way to Panini's or Winking Lizard! I remember your smile and how contagious it was. The last time I saw you was at the Fighter group, about 10pm some night a while back. We were swapping drug-cards for Mrs. Cooper's class. You were wearing white pajamas with pink lambs on them! It was pretty funny seeing you pull up, jamming to music in those. I thought it was extra funny because I was in my PJs too! We planned on having dinner the following week. I am truely sorry that we never did. You will be missed by everyone that knows and loves you. Rest in Peace, Melissa....

Cindy, Earl and family, Words can never say the pain that is in everyones heart just thinking of what you are going threw. I can only offer our thoughts, prayers and love from one mother to another. Your note to your beautiful daughter was enough for anyone to know how your relationship was with her, and just who you were as a mom.I was once told this "when someone you love becones a memorie, your memories become your treasures". To just be blessed with children is a gift, but you have wonderful memories that in time you will hold on to as precious ,precious treasures. We love you guys, and the door is always open for you .May God bless and give you great comfort and strength.
