Michael Armbruster Obituary

Michael A.
Armbruster
50, died following a brief illness on Sunday, May 6, 2012 surrounded by loved ones at Eisenhower Medical Center in Palm Springs, Calif. He was born Jan. 7, 1962, in Marion, Ohio, to Harry and Sandra Armbruster.
Mike is survived by Roland Rodriguez of Palm Springs, his loving and devoted partner of 13 years. In addition to his parents, Mike is also survived by his brothers, Jeffrey (Sheila) of Houston, Texas, Kevin (Renee) of Tallmadge, Ohio, Jerry (Renee) of Sarasota, Fla., and sisters, Julie (Chris) Ruble of Newnan, Ga., and Amy (Rob) Hill of St. Louis, Mo., along with several nieces and nephews.
Mike graduated in 1980 from Louisville High School, in Louisville, Ohio. His first love was acting, and before finishing school, Mike appeared in lead roles in several theatre productions of the Canton Players Guild Theatre, and the Crate and Canvas Theatre. After attending college, he pursued a career in journalism, working for newspapers and periodicals from Ohio to Florida to California. He also loved his dogs, and was the proud owner of an AKC Champion Dachsund. In spite of having to deal with several serious medical conditions over the past decade, Mike adapted well and maintained his enthusiasm and joy for life. His kind heart and warm spirit will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A private service will be held in Palm Springs.

So sorry for your loss. Mike was one great guy, and we loved having him as our neighbor. How many times did he cheerfully save us in the babysitting arena? He was a joy and I am sad he is gone. Kitty Chlebeck Goodright
