Michael Francis Streb

age 71, of Plain Township, died Monday, February 8, 2021, in Port Huron, Michigan of Covid-19 complications. He was born in Canton, Ohio to Paul and Nancy (O'Rourke) Streb and was the oldest of four children. Michael married Christine Smith on July 21, 1979 and they are the parents of three children. Mike had a distinguished career in the office equipment industry selling Konica/Minolta copiers, earning many awards for "Salesman of the Month" with the former Office Equipment Company. He also worked for Edwards Business Machines, Copeco and Graphic Enterprises. In recent years, Mike embarked on a new career as a Land Specialist and Right of Way Agent working on pipeline and renewable energy projects including windmill and meteorological wind towers negotiating land leases with landowners. He was in the first graduating class of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Louisville and earned a B.A in Business from Walsh University. Mike's many interests included traveling abroad and throughout the United States. He was a connoisseur of fine foods and could always find the best places to eat. He enjoyed dogs, especially his golden retriever, Molly. Mike passed along his love of sports to his sons and was a fan of Cleveland sports teams.

Preceded in death by his parents, Paul, and Nancy (O'Rourke) Streb, and nephew, Nicholas Ardura. Survived by sons, Patrick Streb of Plain Township, Michael (Julie) Streb of Powell, Ohio, daughter Katherine Streb of Omaha, Nebraska; brother Patrick (Linda) Streb of San Francisco, California, Nancy Streb of West Palm Beach, Florida, Dominique Ardura of California, Christopher Ardura of Louisiana, Brigid (Tom) Bieber, nephews, Max, John and Ted Bieber of Boxborough, MA, Ben (Christina) Bieber of Boca Raton, Florida, nephews Charles Smith and Matthew Smith of Canal Fulton, Ohio.

Friends may call Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Saint John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Walsh University Alumni Association, Rotary Club of Plain Township or PLIMPA (Plain Local Instrumental Music Patrons Association) c/o GlenOak High School.
