Natalie Altieri Obituary
A celebration of her life and memorial service will be held at 6p.m. on Saturday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Don King officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. Friends may call Saturday from 12-2 and 4-6p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jackson School for the Arts, 7600 Fulton Rd NW, Massillon, OH 44646 or St. Michael Parish, 3430 St Michael Blvd NW, Canton, OH 44718.

It is hard to believe that today is the one year anniversary of Natalie's passing. My family still thinks of her often. On Mother's Day, I visited the site. I sat at the stairs and said a prayer. It was snowing, but when I looked up I saw the most beautiful rainbow over the ski hill. It was if Natalie was saying she was okay.

So sorry I have to write this and you have to read it. Bruce, I'm so sorry about the loss of your precious Natalie. She is certainly one in a million. I remember a couple of stories you told me about her. The first story was a cute one about your plucky little daughter's encounter with a couple of mean girls in elementary school. She didn't back down and wasn't intimidated. She had no qualms about making her feelings known. Back then, you were attempting to explain about taking the high road to her.
A couple years back, you showed me a picture of her wearing a dress she designed out of newspaper which contained articles written about one of her teachers. That was one of the most seriously cool things I'd ever seen. She looked like a million dollars wearing her creation and what an amazing idea it was.
She was truly beautiful inside and out. May her glowing spirit bathe you in it's warm light and may God hold you and yours in the palm of His hand during these dark days.

Although Natalie and Audrey do not know me, and I regretfully do not know them very well, I have grown up awing at both of their inward and outward beauty. Wishing often I could be like them, I remember vividly the natural and nurturing role Natalie took with the kids during VBS throughout both of our high school years helping facilitate. I am still shaken by her tragic death and am in awe of Audrey's strength to persevere and memorialize her beautiful sister online and in the media the way she has. I know for all the sorrow and unrest Natalie's death has given me, it is incomparable to what you all are feeling now. I will surely miss seeing Natalie's beautiful face alongside you all in church. If any good could possibly come from this, I, as I know many others, have learned to live life to the fullest just as Natalie did. Truly God does not allow us to leave this earth before our purpose is fulfilled. Some achieve that sooner than others.

Know that Natalie is rejoicing and has no suffering.
