Pamela Lynn Garvey

Known as Aunt Pam to all, passed away on Sunday, June 13 from cardiac arrest. She was born on February 22, 1947 in Pewaukee, Wis. Pam was predeceased by her mother, Mary Elizabeth Garvey; father, Vernon Robert Garvey and brother, Patrick William Garvey. She is survived by her brother, Thomas Vernon (Patricia) Garvey; sister, Anna Louise (Edgar) Woodward; nephew, Van Anthony Shane; nephew, Patrick William (Jennifer) Harrison and grandniece, Emersyn Louise Harrison.

Pam lived and worked in Connecticut, New Hampshire, Oregon, Arizona, and Ohio. Pam was a home health care worker, who loved her work and was loved by her clients. Pam's compassion was not limited to her work life though. Her family was blessed to have her in their lives. Whether it was chicken noodle soup or fresh baked brownies, Aunt Pam always showed up with something to help out. Aunt Pam and her sister Anna were as close as two human beings could be. She was a resident of North Canton for the past 30 years. She retired in 2010 and enjoyed spending time with neighborhood friends and family. She was an animal lover; enjoying daily the visitors to her bird feeders. She is reunited in heaven with her beloved pug Pickles. Her fox terrier rescue Coco mourns her passing and misses her companionship. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends Mary Lou, Betty and Teddy, Dawn, John, and many others. Aunt Pam was an open and trusting soul. She accepted Jesus as her Savior early in her life, and in her own humble way, embraced Christian life. She had a servant's heart. She was a giver. It became apparent to us who were lucky enough to be close to her and know her that God loved Aunt Pam.

There will not be a service. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be arranged in the future. Arrangements entrusted to the Mark R. Vrabel Funeral Home, North Canton 330-452-4041.
