Paul L. Hoffmeyer
Paul L. Hoffmeyer, Sr., age 75, of North Canton died Sunday, June 4, 2006, at Arbors of Canton. Born February 19, 1931 in Mahoning County, OH to the late John and Carrie (Yeagley) Hoffmeyer. He was a graduate of Sebring High School class of 1951, where he was active in the band; retired from the Hoover Company after 17 years of service; Navy Veteran served during the Korean Conflict; former member of Greenwood Christian Church, Moose Lodge and American Legion; member of Celiac Support Group. Paul was a true Ohio State Buckeye fan and a frequent patron of Bill & Mary's Diner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Mervin and Orin and sister, Viola. Survived by his wife, Lydia F. (Vargo) Hoffmeyer; children, Paul L. (Pam) Hoffmeyer, Jr. of Minerva, Glenn (Mindy) Hoffmeyer of Sacramento, CA and Karen (Ron) Igarta of Cincinnati; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nephews, DeWayne and Wesley Hoffmeyer; niece, Deanna Bradway. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Road NW, Canton with Pastor Paul L. Hoffmeyer, Jr. officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
