Pete Martin Obituary

Pete Martin
Age 80, of Canton, passed away Thursday evening in Ault-
man Hospital.
Born a son of the late Petru and Maria Benes Mladin, he was a life resident of Canton.
Pete was a 1947 graduate of Timken Vocational High School; and retired in 1993 from the Timken Co. after 44 1Ž2 years service as a tool and die maker.
He was a 60-year member of Bethel Temple where he served as Trustee, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Usher.
Pete was a longtime baseball coach in Jackson Twp. and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Preceded in death by two sisters, Eva Martin and Katie Ciokan; one brother, George Martin; and one brother-in-law, John Ciokan.
Survived by his wife, Kay Martin, with whom he celebrated their 57th Wedding Anniversary on Aug. 15th, 2009; one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Brad Williams, of Canton; two sons and daughters- in-law, Bruce and Cinde Martin, of Canton, and Scott and Heidi Martin, of N.J.; one sister, Annie Martin, of Canton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Louise Martin, of Mo., and Ted and Ceil Martin, of Canton; one sister-in-law, Juanita Martin; five grandsons, Beau, Brock, and Britt Williams and Ty and Cory Martin; two step-grandchildren, Isaiah and Alexandra and soon-to-be granddaughter, Harlow; one great granddaughter, Kaleigh; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Bethel Temple with Pastor Terry Kirschman officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. in Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home and Tues. from 10:30-11 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pete's memory may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
