Richard Hammerly Obituary
Hammerly
age 76, of Massillon, passed away Thur., Jan. 29, 2015 in his residence. Born in Canton, a son of the late William and Delores (Yarmin) Hammerly, he had been a resident of the Canton area most of his life, also residing in Kent for many years. Richard was a 1956 graduate of Central Catholic High School and was a member of the Massillon Recreation Center. He retired from the Chrysler Stamping Plant in 2001 after 42 years service, where he was a die maker.
Preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara Walsh and Deborah Schiele. Survived by his wife, Julia Hammerly, with whom he celebrated their 13th Wedding Anniversary on May 4, 2014; one daughter, Julie Wilkerson, of North Canton; one son, Richard Hammerly, of IN; two stepdaughters, Tamara Brozovic, of Canton, and Laura Rose and her husband Randy, of KY; one brother and sister- in-law, David and Fran Hammerly, of Wadsworth; and 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Services will be held Tues. at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home in Canton. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Mon. from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Richard's memory may be made to Mercy Hospice, 4369 Whipple Ave. NW, Canton, Ohio 44718. Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com

A Daughter Never Forgets Her Dad
I have to admit
that I was a Daddy's girl.
He told me he loved better
Than anything else in the world.
When I became a woman
He walked me down the isle,
And gave me away
With a bittersweet smile.
And when I gave birth,
He was there, too
To greet my little one and say
Hello, I love you.
And now that man who loved me,
And wrapped me in arms so strong
Has gone where I can't reach him,
But my love for him lives on.
I'll keep his memory alive,
and honor all he believed,
And just feel so very grateful
For all his love that I received.
I love you Daddy...
