Richard Kiko Obituary
age 73, went to be with the Lord on Saturday after a sudden illness. Life resident of Canton, 1958 graduate of Canton South High School, and was a graduate of both the Missouri Auction School and the Indiana University Certified Auctioneers Institute. He established the Kiko Agency in 1969 and was a second generation co-owner of Kiko Auctioneers; founded in 1945. Dick was an inductee in both the Ohio and National Auctioneer's Association Hall of Fames, past president of the Ohio Auctioneer's Association, former commissioner on the Ohio Auctioneer's Commission and a Lifetime Achievement Award recipient of the Stark County Association of Realtors. Dick was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, Canton Council No. 341 Knights of Columbus, Lincoln Continental Owner's Club –Ohio Valley Chapter, Rotary Club of Canton, and was a Paul Harris Fellow recipient. He was a licensed pilot and member of the East Central Ohio Pilot's Association and the International and Ohio Flying Farmers. Dick and his family had hosted for 35 consecutive years the Big Brother's and Big Sister's Fall Hay Ride. He was also active in many other organizations.
Survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia (Trbovich) Kiko, of the home; eight children, Kristine (Jeff) Kiko-Cozy of Plain Township, Lori Kiko (Randy Compton) of Hartville, Colene (Rob) Stevens of Plain Township, Richard (Maureen) Kiko Jr. of Lake Township, Peter (Joan) Kiko of Dalton, Kathleen (Andy) Cozy of Louisville, William (Tifany) Kiko of Bolivar, and Trisha (Jay) Gainey of Lake Township; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Wanda Lahr of Navarre, Margy and Bill Cleary of Mantua, and Bertha and Lennie Milano of Minerva; and eight brothers and six sisters-in-law, Dan and Pam Kiko of Salem, Fred Kiko of Carlsbad, Calif., James and Suzanne Kiko of Paris, Thomas Kiko of Canton, L. Joe and Janice Kiko of East Canton, Eugene and Ame Kiko of Canton, Russell Jr. and Pam Kiko of Salem, and John and Lynn Kiko of Marlboro. Preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Colletta Kiko and a brother, William Kiko. The family would like to thank the staff's of both Mercy Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic for their compassionate care.
Family and friends will meet on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with Father Donald Feicht as celebrant. Burial will be in Warstler Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Condolences may be made to:

I am a friend of Dicks from long ago. I remember spending time at the family farm (turkey) and going to the auction when they first opened. I attended Waco grade school with him and my wife attended grade school with him at St Benedict's . I still recall him doing a take off of Lowell Thomas and the News. By the way he was very good. I also was goateed into a race with him on a quarter horse and me in a 1942 ford he won. Dick was a friend and as I understand a great family man who had a great love for his church. I moved to Arizona in the late 60's and lost touch with him. We will keep dick and his family in our prayers.

It was my great honor to call Dick Kiko my Brother-in-Law for almost 27 years. I learned quickly that Dick was the "Teddy Bear" of the family. Dick was generous with his wonderful hugs, and his worm smiles that made his eyes sparkle. Though Dick is in Heaven, he will always live on in our memories and through his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Just look at them. You'll see Dicks warm smiles, his sparkling eyes, and they all give such warm wonderful hugs! Pattie may your sorrow grow less each day with all the love your family showers on you each day.

Kiko family- What a tremendous loss for the family and for friends as well. Dick would come the house and share stories about the family, auctions and so much more.
