Richard Levin Obituary
age 85, of Canton passed away on Wednesday night, Jan. 4, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Canton on Sept. 8, 1926 to the late David and Esther (Kaplan) Levin and a 1944 graduate of Lehman High School. He was a World War II Army veteran. He completed his accounting degree at Ohio University and was a retired C.P.A. Formerly he was a member of Temple Israel in Canton and a president of the Men's Brotherhood, and currently a member of Temple Beth Shalom in Hudson. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed his life.
Survived by his wife of 61 years, Marylin Hoicowitz Levin; children, Dr. Diane (Michael) Tucker of Solon, Scott (Mary) Levin of Hudson and Donald (Phyllis) Levin of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Betsy and Lauren Tucker, Rachel (fiancé, Jeff Lustig) Levin, Kate (Natan) Milgrom, David and Michael Levin; and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brother, Norton Levin.
A Private Family Service is to be held officiated by Rabbi Sheldon Ezring of Temple Beth Shalom. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
