We were neighbors of Bob and Bonnie at The Villages, Florida. We especially enjoyed our time with them exploring restaurants and kidding Bob about his love of OSU football. His friendship, easy smile, and upbeat nature will always be remembered. Our very best wishes to Bonnie.

BOB CASTER WAS MY BOSS, MY MENTOR, AND ONE OF MY VERY BEST FRIENDS. I MET BOB IN LATE 1967 WHEN I INTERVIEWED FOR AN ACCOUNTING POSITION @ HYSTER CO. IN KEWANEE, IL. HIS FAITH IN MY ABILITY TO BE HIS STAFF ACCOUNTANT, WAS A TURNING POINT IN MY LIFE. HIS APPROACH OF "TELL IT LIKE IT IS" STUCK WITH ME, AND I TRIED TO PAY IT FORWARD.
HE MOVED UP THE LADDER @ HYSTER AND HELPED ME TO DO SO ALSO. EIGHT YEARS AFTER HE HIRED ME I MOVED INTO THE JOB HE HAD HELD AS CONTROLLER @ HYSTER CO. CONST. EQUIP. DIVISION IN KEWANEE.
HE WAS WELL RESPECTED BY HIS PEERS AND ALL WHO KNEW HIM. A GREAT FAMILY MAN WHO LOVED HIS KIDS AND JOAN. HER PASSING WAS A TOUGH FOR HIM, AND THEN BONNIE CAME INTO HIS LIFE. (HIS SECOND GREAT LOVE) THEY MADE A PERFECT PAIR. THEY WERE LIKE TWO PEAS IN A POD!!! THEY CARED FOR EACH OTHER AND HAD A GREAT LIFE TOGETHER. WHEN BONNIE CALLED ME ABOUT HIS PASSING, I WAS VERY SAD, AS WAS SHE, AND THEN SHE SAID "I GAVE HIM BACK TO JOAN" THAT REALLY TOUCHED ME!!
HE WAS SO VERY PROUD OF HIS CHILDREN, AND THEY OF HIM. TO THEM AND BONNIE I SAY, HE LEFT SOME DEEP TRACKS AS HE WENT THRU HIS LIFE, WHICH WERE WELL NOTICED, BUT WHAT HE IS MOST PROUD OF IS; WHAT HE LEFT BEHIND!!!!!!!!!!!!
WE STAYED CLOSE ALL THESE YEARS, AND LOVED TO TALK FOOTBALL, HIM ABOUT "OSU" AND ME ABOUT "ND" HE KNEW ALL ABOUT THE "BUCKEYES" PAST, PRESENT, @ FUTURE.
HE WAS A GREAT FRIEND TO ME AND I WILL MISS HIM VERY MUCH. MY LIFE WAS MUCH BETTER, BECAUSE HE WAS A PART OF IT.
TO BONNIE AND HIS CHILDREN, I ASK YOU TO RECALL ALL THE GREAT TIMES YOU HAD, AND SHARED WITH HIM. LOVE EACH OTHER AS HE LOVED YOU!!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP U SAFE!!!!!
