1938 - 2021

Robert L. Kronmiller, Sr.

age 83, passed away into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, June 3, 2021 in Altercare Country Lawn following an extended illness. Bob was born April 1, 1938 to George and Elizabeth (Hershberger) Kronmiller in Canton, OH. He graduated from Timken Vocational School in 1956 and began his career as a machinist/CNC operator at Shanafelt Mfg. Co., retiring in 2004 after 47 years. He was a paper carrier for The Repository for 20 years and loved it. He married his sweetheart, Mary L. Shaner on November 30, 1957. They celebrated their 63rd Wedding Anniversary in 2020. He was a lifetime member of the Canton 1st Free Methodist Church and LifeHope Church and served and supported in many capacities. Bob played softball well into his 60's and loved to golf. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. His prayers were always for his family to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and make it to heaven. He enjoyed traveling and until the end spoke excitedly about having gone to Israel and going to the places where Jesus had been.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; sister, Anna Mae (Alfred) Kreiser; sons: Robert, Jr. (Angela), Kevin, and Neil, Sr. (Traci); daughter, Marsha (Donald) Mowery; 11 grandchildren: Charity Beckum, Christina Kronmiller, Logan and Alexa Kronmiller, Danielle and Jacob (Kassidy) Mowery, Neil, Jr., and Levi Kronmiller, Abbi (Aaron) Madzia, Emma (Allan) Roth, Hana (Tanner) Yoder; 23 great-grandchildren with another due in October; numerous special nieces and nephews; cousins; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and his beloved 23 year old cat, Cleo.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. A memorial visitation will take place on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 11 am at LifeHope Church, 7096 Hills and Dales Rd. NW, Canton, OH 44708, with Rev. Eldon Shaner officiating.
