Ronald Gingerich Obituary

Ronald L. Gingerich
Age 63, of Canal Fulton passed away Thursday July 16, 2009 in Cleveland Clinic following a sudden illness. He was born January 13, 1946 in Altoona, PA and was a 1963 graduate of Altoona High School. After moving to the area he worked for the Timken Company for 30 plus years retiring in 2005. He enjoyed swimming, coin collecting, hunting, fishing and any outdoor activities. He lived for Massillon Tiger football games with his grandson, Nate, but his family was always his number one enjoyment in life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Gingerich; grandmother, Clara Gingerich; cousin, Les Gingerich; father-in-law, Homer Neff and sister-in-law, Diane Gingerich.
Surivivors include his wife, Janet Gingerich; four children, Pamela (Brian) Blair of Pearce, AZ, Timothy (Tammy) Gingerich of Canton, Shawn Gingerich of Canton and Sonia (Michael) Da Re of Massillon; five grandchildren, Tiffany and David Crews, Nate, Miranda and Amber Gingerich; great-grandchildren, Madison and Anthony; mother-in-law, Evelyn Neff; brother, Stewart (Connie) Gingerich; nieces, Lisa and Lorie as well as his faithful dog, Buddy.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 5 p.m. in Reed Funeral Home CANTON Chapel. Calling hours will be Monday from 4-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association. Those wishing can view this obituary and sign the on-line guestbook at

To Ron's family, We were so sorry to see that Ron had passed. We keep informed as much as possible through Nate. He was a nice guy and he has already been missed by us. We're his next door neighbors. The Kollers. To all of you who know us, we're so sorry for your loss. If there is anything we can do, let us know. To Janet, try to hold on to the best memories, and let the others go. I know it's been a bad time for you too, but know you are in our thoughts and prayers too.
