Rosemary Serra Obituary
passed away on June 28, 2021, at the age of 68, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her son, Anthony D. Serra; her brothers and sisters, Francis J. Wargo, Dr. Thomas (Tracy) Wargo, Margaret (Tim) Viancourt, Kathryn (Mario) Cancelliere and John J. Wargo; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Dagmar (Oberg) Wargo and brother, David M. Wargo.
Rose completed her Bachelor's degree in English/Education at Walsh University. She attended University of Akron School of Law where she received a law degree and was also an adjunct Professor of Law. As an attorney, Rosemary practiced law for over thirty years in Canton, Ohio. She was involved in numerous committees and professional organizations. Rose was a board member at Saint Joseph's Senior Living as her motto was in helping others in need. Rosemary was a kind, compassionate soul who devoted her life to family and friends and will greatly be missed by all.
Visitation hours will be at the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburgh Ave., North Canton, Ohio on Thursday, August 12th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Celebration of Life mass will be Friday, Aug. 13th at the St John's Evangelist Catholic Church, 16017 Smith Rd. Summitville, Ohio at 12 p.m. There will be a receiving at the church 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Rosemary became a dear friend when sh handled my parents´ estate 20 years ago. A more intelligent, compassionate, loving woman I have rarely known. My sincere sympathies go to her entire family and those of us who considered her a mentor and friend. We were blessed to have known her.
