Sean Bender Obituary
age 34 passed away on Feb. 2, 2014 in Canton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty DeCost, and his grandmother, Marcella Keefer. Sean was survived by his partner, Jeremy Hopes; father, William (Cathy) Bender and step siblings, Michael and Lacey; Step mother, Sharon (Larry) Greer; brothers, Adam, Robert, Zachariah, Keith and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Neices, and Nephews.
A Funeral will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. Rev. Dr. Everett Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Sunday Feb. 9, 2014 from 1 until 3 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Donations can be made to his father to help defray funeral expenses.

I just stumbled upon Sean's work by chance this evening - and was so impressed and excited! He seemed like a kindred spirit and the type of visionary Stark County Ohio desperately needs. How shocked, then, to discover he just left us!! I never had the pleasure to meet you Sean, but your work has touched me beyond words. Rest in peace and thank you for sharing your view of the world with strangers like me. You made an impact, and that is all any of us can wish for.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Sean's passing. He was one of my biggest supporters at Mission Hill Main Streets. He was such a visionary. He was not only intelligent and witty but a fabulous dresser and a dear friend. He will truly be missed. My condolences to his loved ones

Remembered with much affection by the Board of Directors of the Citizen Planner Training Collaborative in Massachusetts. Sean was a valuable member of the board for many years. He was smart, witty, and of course charming in his customary bow tie. We will miss him
