Sheila S. Jones

Age 86, of Louisville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020. She was born March 31, 1934 in McConnelsville, Ohio to the late Jesse and Christine (Ray) Embree. Sheila was a retired 2nd and 3rd grade teacher from Pleasant Grove Elementary School in Louisville. She was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ and the Morgan Sunday School Class of the church. Sheila was a member of Eastern Star Legacy Chapter #596. She never met a stranger. More than anything she enjoyed and cherished time spent with her family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Richard Jones on December 11, 2020 and a sister, Mary Jo Stehmeyer. Sheila is survived by two daughters, Renee (Kurt) Grunert and Denise (Rick) Means; a brother, Randy (Vicki) Embree; five grandchildren, Tyler Means, Nicole Means, Chris (Justin) Walters, David Grunert (fiancé - Elizabeth Beach), Sarah (Tad) Sobieszczanski and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Union Cemetery in Louisville with Rev. Dr. David Anderson officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Paradise United Church of Christ, 619 E Main St., Louisville, OH 44641. Mrs. Jones was a teacher for several of my kids at PG. She was a tremendous teacher. & long after they moved on to LHS & graduated, she would always ask about them whenever our paths crossed in town. My condolences to the family.
