SUSAN FIRST Obituary
of North Canton passed away at age 68 on November 17, 2019 with her family by her side. "Sue" was born in Canton, Ohio on April 9, 1951 to John and Dolly Lantz of North Canton. Sue graduated from Perry High School in 1969; attended Kent State University; and achieved her LPN certificate from Canton City Schools. She worked at Stark County Woman's Clinic for many years before devoting herself to raising her daughter and son. Sue loved being "Homeroom Mom", was involved in many of her kid's school activities, and relished in serving as her daughter's Girl Scout Troop Leader (#683). Later she became a Realtor® and continued her work as an LPN at a doctor's office in Canton. Sue was a thoughtful and generous person who was adored by all who knew her.
Along with her parents, she is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; children: Julie (Brenden) Lewer of Tucson, and Matthew (Renee Powell) First of San Diego; sisters: Doris (Bob) McCutcheon of Tyler, Texas, and twin-sister Joanne Franzen of Perry Township.
A private memorial service for family and close friends will be held at Faith United Methodist Church in North Canton on Tuesday, November 26th. at 5:00 pm. Celebrate Sue's life by donating to Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio in her name: www.gsneo.org/donate. Condolences may be made to:

Our mothers were best friends thus we became friends. You were like a sister to me and then you became a godmother to my daughter. You were a beautiful person inside and out! Our conversations always involved the love of your family and children. I am going to miss you terribly! I know you are where we all want to be!

Dear Family: I will miss Sue very much. Though in recent years we did not see each other often, I have very fond memories when we were young and getting married. I remember on her wedding day, her long blond hair down to her waist and the blue ribbon that was woven into the front of her veil. She was a very special person and I will miss her. Lynn Farber
