Wilbert Garner Obituary

Wilbert 'Shafafa' Garner
Was born Apr. 27, 1929, in Canton, Ohio, and was called from this earthly life on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2009. Wilbert was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Foster and Thelma Garner, sisters, Fanny Garner, Lorean Baity, brothers, Robert 'Beans' Garner, and Reuben 'Scar Head' Garner Sr. To mourn his passing he leaves beloved sons, Allen Garner of Washington D.C., Gregory Garner of Pittsburg, Pa., Kevin Garner of Canton; grandchildren, Allen Garner III and Ebony Garner, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Condolences may be sent to 1331 Ohio Ave. NE, Canton, Ohio 44705. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at 11 a.m. in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. There will be no calling hours. Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
