William Ludwig Obituary
Ludwig Sr.
age 72 of Massillon passed away Monday. Bill was born Feb. 4, 1942 in Brewster to the late Michael and Catherine (Rozlog) Ludwig. He was a member of the last graduating class from Brewster High School 1960. Bill was employed for 32 years as a millwright for Republic Engineered Steel. He was best known for his quick wit and love for his family. In addition to his parents a sister, Carol Ludwig preceded him in death.
Bill shared 49 years of marriage with his wife, Evelyn (Ginther) Ludwig. They have four children, Jennifer (Dan) Harold, William (Cheryl) Ludwig Jr., Melissa (Michael) Schaub and Rebecca (Justin) Saffell. The grandchildren he teased and loved, Alexis, Jonathan and Sammy Harold; Erika, Megan, Rachel and Alex Ludwig, Gavin and Gabby Schaub, Katlyn and Jacob Saffell. Also, a brother, John Ludwig survives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Massillon. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Memorials can be sent to the American Heart Association in Bill's memory. Messages of support and sympathy can be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com.
