I was saddened to hear of Bill's passing. And I am so glad to have had the opportunity to talk to him at Aultman West a few weeks before his passing.
I got to know Bill through his visits delivering WHS class luncheon notices to The Independent. He always had a smile and a joke to tell, even though he was not always feeling well.
May your memories of him give you comfort.

Dear Victor, Jerry and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Bill's passing. He was a true gentleman/gentle man with a great sense of humor. I like to think I was a wee bit responsible for some of his jokes at his class luncheons. I would mail him dozens of them off the internet before he got a PC. Now, I don't know if the MAN UPSTAIRS would laugh at ALL of them (although I like to think HE has a sense of humor) but we sure enjoyed them down here.
Bill and I were friends from the moment he heard my first name. To this day, I don't know if my name evoked happiness or pain with him, but, regardless, from then on he was my "brother".
We love you Bill, so rest in peace. You will never be forgotten!
Sincerely,
leo moore
