Fighting back the tears, let me try to express what Bill has meant to our family. Words that describe what an amazing father and husband he was to my sister Kathy and the kids, aren't enough. Bill was active in everything, sports, work, his community. Always there, cheering on Sam, Nate & Charlotte. He was a joy to have around as a brother-in-law. Bill and Kathy always had everyone over for family events, some not so happy, lately. My dad passed away a few months ago. I can only imagine Bill and my dad now, probably talking about airplanes, the kids, and of course those Cleveland Browns.

My Brother how I loved him so. From the day my father said you have a baby brother and I got to tell my sister the news. Until the moment, she told me he was gone, I always felt he was a son not just a brother. He lived life to the fullest. He and Kathy brought three beautiful children into this world. I know they will follow his example in the care of their own childern. Cheese cakes which he was so good at making, will be made in his honor and memory. A beer or two will also be drunk and stories will be told. I will miss him. I will miss him. God has a special place for the big and uglies. So, shed a tear and raise your glass, for you will never see a more beautiful man. Rock on Billy. Love your big brother Greg.

Dearest family,
This journey for our beloved Billy is over. His passing has made us think about and feel what family value there is in the meaning of "family, friends, and love". When we deplaned in Akron. I said "OH my God it's a full moon".
When my dad passed in 87 my son Stephen. 2 1/2 y/o wanted to go where Pop-pops was. As any parent knows this is a difficult explanation. In a moment of weakness I said "He was on the moon with God", that night it was brilliant. Stephen realized even at that age he couldn't get there.
When we returned from Detroit to Akron, he yells "Hi Pop-pops. It caught me quite off gaurd. As I looked up the moon was still quite full. I said we all needed to stop and say a prayer. That was in 1987.
What ensues each time I see any moon is I say a prayer not just for my father, but mom and all the others that meant somthing in my life.
Billy's now in that group. It has given me great solace over all these years as I look up at something so bright and beautiful as this round orb in the sky to assocoate it with so many that I love.
Oddly, with Bill it brings even a different analogy of all the different orbs or balls that can be associated with his life. If you think of the kids, especially Nate that he positively affected their lives by a round object or one that was not quite round. His impact was enormous. "Even the big and ugly ones".
Being a father and husband was Billy's greatest strength. Bringing laughter and kindness were his next. To make so many laugh is a gift that not everyone possesses. The thought to give his daughter Sam a note of encouragement before each competition, tells me he likely did it with Nate and Charlie or at least words that gave their spirits strength.
So, if it's not to much to ask, when you see the moon, say a prayer or have a rememberance of Billy. At first it will make you sad, but then one day will come and you will say " Hey Billy Rock On and Stay by my Side".
Kathy,Sam,Nate,Charlie--your husband and Dad will always be in your heart and one word away. And that one word is LOVE
Aunt Sheila

To Bill's Family: Bill and I were friends at Copley High and when I picture him, he is smiling and laughing and making all around him happy. I'm sorry we didn't keep in touch because from all the wonderful words and photos, I see he remained just as joyful throughout his adult life. May God bring peace to your heart as Bill's memory lives on.

Dear Kathy, Samantha, Nathan and Charlotte,

We can't express the shock and sorrow we felt when we heard of Bill's death. I don't know a person who enjoyed life or loved his family more than Bill.

I know mere words are inadequate - I can't imagine the sense of loss you all must share.

Our prayers are with you, and we hope that knowing how much Bill was admired and loved is a tribute to the life you led together.

God Bless You,
Greg, Del Rae, Carl and Gianna

To the Spaid Family,
My thoughts and prayers go out to you. I was saddened to hear of this tragic news. Bill was one the best salesman in our crazy world of Insulation. The one great thing I will always remember about Bill was the levity that he brought to our industry. Even though I know his family came first, he always found time to be very considerate and sincere with his customers, who thought very highly of him. That shows the kind of person Bill was. It was an honor to know him.

My deepest condolences,
Mark Horvat

We all have a pit in our stomach that will heal over time, but hurts right now. Kathy, be strong in dealing with things. Bill was extremely proud of his family. We talked about all of the great things the kids were doing or that you had just gotten a new account and how well you were doing., I feel honored to have been able to call Bill a friend. Bill was the best.

Dear Kathy & Family, We are deeply saddened by your loss. Bill was an extraordinary man and the community of Green has lost a wonderful person. We've known Bill for only 5 years. In that time we discovered he was the perfect neighbor. I will miss his smile, his laughter, and his zeal for life. I'll miss passing him on the street as we both taxied our kids to school, sports practices, and games. Bill was a great man, a good friend, a wonderful neighbor, and an example for all of us for what a loving husband and father should be. Bill will be missed. May all Bill's friends and family find peace and comfort in the arms of Christ Jesus. God Bless all who have been touched by Bill's life.

Dear Kathy, Sam, Nate & Charlotte: We want to express our sincere condolences on the passing of Bill and let you know we are thinking of you during this very difficult time. We send our prayers and comfort for the difficult days that lie ahead.

Dear Kathy and family, I am saddened and heart broken to hear of Bill's passing. You all were wonderful neighbor's to have even for such a short period of time while I lived 2 doors away. Bill was always very kind to me always willing to help me around the house when something broke and I didn't know how to fix it! Or coming over to borrower a cup of sugar for something he was cooking up in the kitchen! I know he was a good husband and father he was proud to be both, you could tell that just by the way he talked about you all. He was a kind and giving person, always willing to be "a good neighbor/friend". My only regret was not saying good bye when I moved. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless!

We are deeply saddened by your loss. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with you, Kathy, Samantha, Nathan and Charlotte. Our family came to know Bill through GBYF. He was Harrison and Hunter's first football coach. It was the 2008 season and they had never played football before and they were 4th graders. He did such a great job showing them the ropes. The amount of time Bill spent with the football boys just teaching them the fundamentals and plays that they needed to know. He truly was a giver. SO much of his time and energy went to these boys. He will truly be missed. What a special person he was to take on so much and to give so much. Thank you and may God Bless and Keep you in comfort at this time.
