WILLIAM WISE Obituary
age 57 of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018, at the Kobacker House in Columbus. He was born September 24, 1960 in Canton, OH, the son of Carl H. and Dorothy L. (Climes) Wise Jr. He was employed at Goodyear in Hebron and had formerly worked for Ralston Foods for many years. Will was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend as well as a dedicated soccer coach to many children in the Lancaster community.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Heston) Wise; father, Carl H. (Marianne) Wise Jr., of North Canton, OH; children: William B. Wise, of Lancaster, Allyson E. Schmelzer, of Lancaster, Nathan H. Wise, of Columbus, Adam J. Wise, of Lancaster, Jared T. Schmelzer, of Lancaster and Mallory R. Schmelzer, of Lancaster; sisters, Kathy (Karl) Dennison, of Lancaster, Martha "Myrt" Wise, of North Canton, and Amy (Mike) Scaglione, of North Canton; brother, Andrew Wise, of North Canton; nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy (Climes) Wise; nephew, Brian Brumbaugh.
A service of remembrance will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2018 at SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME, 222 S. Columbus St., Lancasster, with Pastor Mindy Quellhorst officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kobacker House, 800 McConnell Dr., Columbus, OH 43214, Fairfield Medical Center Foundation Cancer Care Fund, 401 N. Willy was a good man who loved his way into our family and made us all better persons. I had so much respect and appreciation for him and I only hope that someday, I look back on my life and can say that I was half the man he was.
He will be missed but the memory of his kindness, compassion, and dedication as a father, husband, and friend will live on in our hearts forever.

Growing up, we would go to our cousin's house and would love to play their player piano. I remember most Willy always had a sparkle in his eyes with a mischievous grin on his face at the same time. Seeing recent pictures of him, he still had the sparkle that made everyone feel happier. I wish I could be there for his family and loved ones. Love to all of our family who are suffering with his loss. God bless Willy, his wife and children. Also his father, brother and sisters. Loving and missing all of you!!!

I met Willy when he and I were both 19, and I was dating his sister Amy. Back then he was a tall skinny quiet young guy with a perpetually ornery look on his face. I remember being challenged to wrestle in Amy's front yard and figured he'd be easy to handle, being so skinny. Wrong! Willy was strong as a bull. And he was like this in life for his family and as a father. These are the ways in which I'll always remember by brother in law Willy.
