Wira Hlynsky Obituary
age 86, of Canton, passed away Wednesday Aug. 14, 2013. Wira was born and educated in Ukraine and came to live in Canton, Ohio. Wira was very active in the Ukrainian Catholic Community as a member of Saint Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Canton and Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church in Akron. She loved God, her family, gardening, cooking, and baking.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 64 years, Iwan Hlynsky. Wira is survived by son, Paul Hlynsky; daughters, Maria Hlynsky and Irene (Dan) Harland; and two granddaughters, Stephanie (Scott) Jowers and Jeannette Harland. Also, she leaves to cherish her memory, many friends and family members across the United States and Ukraine.
Funeral service and calling hours are private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Summa's Hospital's Palliative Care Unit, Akron, Ohio or the Maison Aine Memorial Fund, 2910 L'Ermitage Place, Stow, OH 44224.

Irene and family: It's hard to believe that seven years have gone by since the passing of your mama. Since then, your brother, Paul, and sister, Maria, have passed too! I visit their (and your father's) graves whenever I go to the cemetery to put flowers on my tato's grave. God Bless you,

My deepest sympathy to her children, Maria, Paul and Irene. I helped take care of her these last few years at Maison, and she was a joy to be around. She always wanted to help and know what was going on. I was sad to hear of her passing, I have not been to work since February to see her or any of you. God Bless You and you are in my Prayers
