Austin Olmstead Obituary

Austin Robinson Olmstead died suddenly on June 29, 2018. He was born Aug. 28, 2001.
He was 16 years old and about to begin his senior year at Evergreen High School, where he was enrolled in Advanced Placement courses and had already earned college credits.
Austin was a genius and scored in the 98th percentile on his SATs. Austin was born in Modesto, Calif., and moved to Evergreen in 2013 to live with his Aunt Lauren Robinson Gardiner and cousins Madison Gardiner and Connor Gardiner (Christina Fick).
The Gardiner family embraced, loved and respected Austin, and he flourished in his short life. He hiked and played board games as well as video games. Austin had many friends and family who loved him dearly. 
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur R. Olmstead (died in October 2012).
Austin is survived by mother, Kathleen Olmstead; brother Jimmy Strimpel of Los Angeles; sister Gabrielle Strimpel of San Jose, Calif.; grandfather Mike Robinson of Dallas; grandmother Jackie Payne of Anahuac, Texas; aunt Lauren Gardiner of Evergreen; uncle Mike Robinson of Eugene, Ore.; uncle Sean Robinson (Pam) of Salado, Texas; and uncle Scott Robinson. 
Cousins: Madison Gardiner, Connor Gardiner and Christina Fick, Kelly Gardiner, Samantha Robinson, Katie Robinson and Heather Robinson. 
A memorial was held for Austin at Evergreen Lutheran Church on July 6, 2018. Austin is buried at Evergreen Memorial Park in Evergreen.
Donations and cards can be sent to Evergreen Lutheran Church, 5980 Highway 73, Evergreen, CO 80439 in care of Lauren Gardiner for funeral expenses.

Austin your we’re not like but you were my little brother I watched you grow so fast in your younger years in your life in Modesto with you being a very big part of not only mine Nathaniel Arrieta but my brothers Noah Arrieta and Nicholas Arrieta and my mother Jennifer Stevens and my father Sergio Arrieta you filled our life’s with laughter and joy and happiness you will be deeply and truly missed “Mini Me “ you will forever have a place in our hearts and our memories and this is not good bye but we will all see you again when it is our time to meet you at the pearly gates We love you lil man may you watch over us now as our guardian angel love the Arrieta and Stevens family.
