Carl Tongue Obituary
Carl Anthony Tongue, Sr. entered his eternal rest on May 27, 2015. The Funeral will be held at Chews United Methodist Church in Harwood, Maryland on Friday June 5th. Viewing is from 9am-11am and services will immediately follow.

We all had a family bond on Muddy Creek road. Carl was always smiling and to me he had a smile on his face on Saturday. He will be missed. To the family, don't let any one tell you how to grieve each person is different. You will be happy one moment, angry the next, then laughing at the good times. Hold on to one another...pray together and consistently check to make sure that everyone is okay. Love you all.

Carl and my family go back to the early 70s. My father was coaching in Shady Side and Carl was the hot commodity (if you happened to be looking for a stud pitcher) We learned quickly however that was but one of Carls lesser attributes.
He as well as his entire family were quite simply "gentle men" (Mother excluded of course), the likes we see all too rarely these days.
In all these years I can say without reservation...I've never heard him speak ill of anyone, nor anyone speak ill of him.
God bless the Tongue family during this time of loss.

Mr. Carl was a wonderful man. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. When I worked concessions or set up prom breakfast at SHS he was always there to help me with anything he could with a smile and a conversation. He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
