I recently came across Charlie´s obit as I was searching that of another friend. I had the pleasure of working with Charlie at Crofton Middle School. I was a science teacher and he was an asst. principal. We had some wonderful conversations during his time there. He was well-versed on so many subjects. A really sincere, brilliant, and caring man. I remember one time when I had a horrible kidney stone attack in the classroom and he was the first person to reach me. He took me down to the main office and eventually insisted that he drive me to the emergency room. That´s the kind of person he was. I´m so glad I had the opportunity to know and work with him. My condolences to the family.

Charles was a good mentor to me early in my administrative career. He was a good man.
