I landed in Basking Ridge, N.J., after my family moved back to N.J. from New Mexico. We won the battle of the bands that year, 1968, with Chris as lead singer. I recall clearly how well he balanced the group, and how well he sang "Dock of the Bay", " I'll feel a whole lot better", and others, in 1968. He was a nice guy, and a character. My sister Mary saw Chris at the high school reunion a few years back. I was pleased to have met him.

Chris, So gentle, so kind...so in love with his wife and family and his Boston whaler.....and I was so looking forward along with Barb to another pastel class.....a light has gone out in this world ..Susan, your 44 year marriage is such a tribute to all that is good in the world and you raised a beautiful family . Cal and I were so happy to have known Chris in our later years and we pray for comfort for all of you as you carry on with his memory in your hearts....he has your backs....especially the grandchildren
Much Love Connie and Cal

Susan and family,
I was so shocked and saddened to hear this news. I had the utmost respect for Chris. We touched base every once in awhile, but not lately, and I guess I thought we could always just pick up where we left off. I remember all the black ties with you two and Pat.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our family is saddened by this news. Chris, Susan, and the boys were great neighbors for many years and we were so glad to have had them join us at a family celebration just this June. Our prayers are with his family. He was a wonderful man, a true and kind soul.
