Devin Sweeting Obituary
Devin Lenard Sweeting, PO3, United States Coast Guard, 25, died August 12. Devin was born on August 19, 1985, in Brooklyn, NY, to Michael B. Sweeting and Holly A. Tyson. He graduated from Laurel High School in 2003. He joined the Coast Guard in 2004 and enjoyed his deployments to the Bahamas. He loved to sit on the deck of the boat to clear his head as well as spend quality time with close friends and family. Family will receive friends at the family-owned Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Highway (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, on Sunday, August 21, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Monday, August 22, from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment 1 p.m. at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Please join the family at 2 p.m. for the repast at the West Bowie Village Hall located at 13711 Annapolis Road, Bowie. Please view and sign the family's guestbook at www.beallfuneral.com

Dev, I wake up every single day and cannot believe that you are not here. I listen to the way that Radar, Kuntry & the guys talk about you & it makes my heart melt. Thank you so much for making me such a big part of that part of your life baby, they promised me that you will live on with them forever & so far they have held true to that word. They all got your name on the left side of their vest, by their hearts , so you're still riding baby. I think about you every second of everyday. I check up on the guys and Nikki for you all the time! Every time I get sad I think about the last ride we took w/ Nikki & the ladies, one hand on the bike & the other holding my hand. There is no question, we shared a love that was very real. I love you so much Dev, always!
