Donna Fisher Obituary

It is with heavy heart and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear sister, mother, and friend Donna Lynn Fisher. Donna's life ended tragically on March 7th, 2018 in Crownsville, Md, she was 54. Taken without notice, we all weep for Donna and the beautiful person that was and for the future that was stolen. Words can never express the grief, the shock and the pain we feel for the loss of such a special person who touched the lives of so many. Her abundant love, her endless dedication to her children, her amazing empathy and her commitment to making the world just a bit more fun, happy and meaningful; Donna leaves behind a life that was memorable, faithful, and profoundly impactful to all of us who had the privilege to call her Mom, sister, and friend. Donna is survived by her two children Dylan and Catherine whom she dedicated her life to and loved more than anything in the world. Donna is also survived by brother Rob Fisher and his wife Dale, Thomas Fisher and his wife Teresa and sister Linda Rosato and her husband John, nephews John, Steven, Nicholas and Matthew Rosato, nephew Michael Fisher and niece Carly Fisher. Donna is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Frances Fisher and brother James of Silver Spring, MD. Donna was born on January 29, 1964 in Silver Spring, Md. She graduated from Sherwood High School and received a degree from Anne Arundel Community College. She had a long and successful career as a technology consultant where she provided advice, counsel and project management for many complex infrastructure programs. She was a consummate professional and was highly regarded by her peers and co-workers at CS Technology where she worked for over 20 years. Donna's greatest joy in life was her family and she took great pride and joy in being the touchstone, the organizer, the intersection for all members of the immediate and extended Fisher family. She always sought to keep the family connected. Her free-spirit, fun-loving and passionate commitment to her family was a bright beacon that was seen by all. We all love and will miss our Donna so very much. Viewing will be on Thursday, March 15th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Road, Gambrills, MD 21054. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 16th at 11 am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 801 Stevenson Rd, Severn, MD. 2114 4Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to GFWC (General Federation of Women's Clubs) 1734 North Street, N.W. Washington D.C. 20036 for domestic violence programs or to a domestic violence shelter of your choice.

Great person to work with at Navy Dept. Wonderful personality, knowledgeable and a genuinely lovely individual. Not many like her.

Donna, as a support contactor for the Navy Dept. and I worked
together on numerous occasions. She was a hard charger and not only was a classy, lovely lady but her personality was as beautiful as her heart. She is missed by many.

Living in the community, I have walked by the home hundreds if times. I remember seeing 2 children in the yard playing & the 2 golden retrievers watching over them. All the fun & laughter will be missed.

Bill and I are so sorry for the loss of Donna. We watched her grow up in our neighborhood. She was a kind, warm, pleasant young lady. After she moved to Crownsville I always looked forward to her Christmas Cards with a lengthy note enclosed keeping me up on the family. We knew all of her family and loved them all. Could not have had better neighbors. May it comfort the family to know that we care and share the loss of Donna with them. Donna will be greatly missed. May God comfort the family as they go through the healing process.

In Sympathy,

Bill & Gerti Mercer
