Dorothy McLelland Obituary

MCLELLAND, DOROTHY S., 81, longtime resident of Pasadena, Maryland was called peacefully to God on Thursday, January 24, 2012. Born in Baltimore City, she was a 1949 graduate of Sparks High School and became the loving wife of her high school sweetheart, the late Leo J. McLelland (1996). A retired bookkeeper, she enjoyed spending her time visiting with family, reading, traveling, playing cards and bingo, and meeting with good friends as an active member of the Popular Ridge Seniors, the Regal Red Roses, and most especially dancing at the Moose Club. She is survived by her son, James M McLelland, his wife Patricia and their children, Stephen McLelland and his wife Sonya, Megan McLelland and her special friend, Chris Stylen, and Christen Otto and her husband Trever; and by her daughter, Teresa M Wiskman and her children, Shannon and Stephen Wiskman. There will be no visitation and a private service for family only. Friends and well-wishers are encouraged to honor Dottie's life by sending their condolences in care of Gregory J. Gonce Funeral Home and by making a donation in her name to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center, The American Gastroenterology Association, The American Cancer Society, or another charity or organization of their choosing.
