Eric Steinlein Obituary

Eric had the ability to make a mundane situation a forever story. He had a heart bigger than his huge biceps. He was fiercely loyal, kind, hardworking, smart, courageous and strong. He was so much fun! Eric passed suddenly on May 3, 2021 He was born in Annapolis, Maryland on July 24, 1979 and raised in his beloved town of Galesville. He had a boat before a car and spent hours on the West River as his ancestors did. At an early age he worked with his sister, Alice at Free State Yachts tending to boats. From there just like his father and grandfather he worked in numerous ways in many yacht yards in many facets. He loved driving the travel lift and was certified to handle one. In addition to boats and the Chesapeake Bay, Eric loved exploring, lifting weights, running, rap music, cooking, swimming, sledding, roller coasters, crabbing, basically anything fun. He had so many friends. He loved his family and is survived by his parents, Eric Joslyn Steinlein, Jr. of Galesville and Mary Beth Frain( Francis) of Edgewater, MD . He was the beloved grandson of the late Eric Joslyn Steinlein of Galesville Md . and Elizabeth Scotten Steinlein of Annapolis , Gordon Harry Watts (Blanche),and Jean Martin Rose both of Lynchburg Va. His sisters, Alice Steinlein Cord (Carl) of Shady Side, MD. Erica Jean Steinlein of Shady Side, MD and Carol Colleen Bailey "Carrie" of Jupiter, FL. He was proud to be an uncle to Joslyn Rose Cord of Shady Side, MD and Emma Katherine Yates of Jupiter, FL. His extended family, uncle Mark Steinlein of Galesville, uncle Martin Watts of Richmond, VA, the late Aunt Kristina Blake of Arden, Delaware and Aunt Susan Cash of Madison Heights, Va. He had the best deep laugh and a wonderful sense of humor. Every day he will be missed. A celebration of life will be held in the near future.
