F. Jane Rhule, 77, a longtime resident of Mayo, MD, passed away on February 10, 2024, after a brief illness. Janie graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in 1967 and started working at Anne Arundel Medical Center in 1974 after moving to the area in the Emergency Department. She worked in various departments at AAMC throughout her 47-year career. Janie was the ultimate party planner, making every casual dinner to holiday celebration memorable for those lucky enough to attend, from the sparkle of Christmas magic to an Easter Croquet Extravaganza. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and close friends, always seeking tropical warmth and sunshine in the cold winter months and heading to the beach for the annual girls' trip in the summer. Janie was always up for an adventure. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harry "Butch" Rhule, and her daughter and travel companion, Wendy. Friends are invited to celebrate Janie's life on Saturday, February 24, from 1 pm until her memorial service begins at 2 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Interment will be at St. Mary's United Church of Christ, Silver Run, MD, at a later date.
