Florence Edwards-Parker Obituary
CAP-USAF Reserve Affairs Program Manager Florence Edwards-Parker, 55, returned to her heavenly home on 28 Oct 2016. She was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Lucinda Edwards. She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted husband, Henry Parker; one brother, Donald Edwards; one sister, Jackie Sanders; two nieces, two nephews and a host of other relatives and numerous friends. A memorial service will be held on Maxwell AFB, AL at 10:00 AM, 4 Nov 2016 in Chapel 2.

It was such a pleasure to know Flo for over 10 years. We became close long distance friends. I told her, "Flo just to hear you laugh makes me happy." I was so hurt to hear of her passing. When she asked me if I would officiate her wedding last year, I said, Flo, I am coming to your wedding but I don't have to marry you but if you really want me too, I am qualified and I will do it! It was a pleasure getting to know Henry during Christian Counseling and learning more about Flo. We really enjoyed the sessions. The wedding was beautiful and what an honor and privilege to marry Flo and Henry! I could feel the Spirit of the Lord blessing their union. My heartfelt condolences to Henry and the Family. Flo was a wonderful person and a Jewel gone too soon. We had many conversations about the Lord and how good He is. Many times we just do not understand but we know God is love and He faithful and All Knowing. God is All Powerful and He is in Control. He is Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. He is Sovereign and He makes no mistakes. Flo graduated before we were ready for her to go Home. There is no greater love than God's Love and that gives me peace and comfort. She crossed over to her Lord and Savior, Jesus! Family, I pray the kind of peace and comfort that only God can give you. He loves and cares for you. May the peace of God which passes all understanding keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus! With much love, Elder Mary J. Conner

Such a loss for us! Such a bright and uplifting spirit that radiated her nature just by walking in! I pray that the family will carry on her bubbly spirit knowing she touched everyone she came in contact with! You will be truly missed!

Flo has been a family friend for the last 31 years. And this was always the time of year we would get to see her the most. She's always had a joyful spirit about her. Her laugh became contagious. My prayers are with her husband and family. You willed be missed!

To Henry and Flo's family, my family's prayers are with you during this time. I will miss this lovely women that was more my sister then friend. She was an angle full of life and love. The one thing that is helping me is the knowledge that she is with our lord making heaven even better with her joyful spirit.

To the Parker and Edwards families, my heart is heavy at the absence of my friend, but I am reassured that she is resting in our Heavenly Father's arms. That knowledge alone brings me comfort. I pray God will give you the comfort and peace only He can provide during this time.
