He was on a flight that had just been deiced due to a snow storm. As he was doing a final seatbelt check, he glanced out the window to see the wings still covered with ice. Always the diligent man that he was, he raced to the cockpit, banging on the door, screaming "don't take off". They heeded, and he most likely saved everyone's lives. Turns out that the deicing crew used the wrong fluid to deice the aircraft. That's Harry. Always aware!

Harry was my roommate in Boston when we were first hired with Allegheny Airlines. We were sitting around in our apartment, bored, and he said "what do you want to do, I'm bored". I said, how about going skiing? We looked for any available seats on the airlines and found the Banff flights wide open. Next morning we were off to Banff. The ski picture is him pretending to crash into the tree. The other two are at my house in NH for a halloween party. I'm on the left. Great times. He's dearly missed.

I'm so saddened to hear about Harry. I remember visiting with him, long after we'd left Severna Gardens, in front of the DiMartini's and the pride he demonstrated for his gorgeous SAAB. He always was and is unforgettable! RIP Harry, and condolences to Mrs. Rew and Amanda.

I am devastated to hear this sad news. We grew up together and my memories of Harry are countless. Rest in peace, dear friend.

We have known Harry since boyhood. As he grew to an adult, he never changed;
remaining an enthusiastic, energetic,
funny person, full of ideas. His life was too short. Our hearts and sympathy
go out to Ethel Mae and Amanda.
