Jean Dooman Obituary
Jean E. (Massey) Dooman, 87 of Bolton, loving wife of the late David S. Dooman peacefully passed away at Marlborough Health Care Center under the loving & compassionate care of their staff, especially Karen, Emeka, Yannie & Leslie (her rabbit)!
Jean was born on November 21, 1931 in Hartford, daughter of the late Clifford & Martha (Jacobs) Massey, and made her home in Bolton for most of her life. In her younger years, Jean worked at the Hartford Public Library and the Two Hartfords, but her most important job was being a loving Mom, Sister & Daughter, and caring for her extended family at the Webb household. She was a phenomenal baker and never forgot to celebrate special family occasions with a special cake or one of her creations of sweet goodness!
She is survived by her son, Kyle Dooman and dear friend, Lisa Simon of Columbia, her son and daughter-in-law Clifford & Shannon Dooman of Arnold, MD & her daughter
& son-in-law Carrie & Mark Pajor of Glastonbury. She has 6 grandchildren: Jaclyn & Ryan Pajor, Matthew & Lauren Dooman & Sam & Cameron Dooman whom she loved very much & shared her many passions, especially baking & painting.
Jean also leaves her brother & sister-in-law, Cifford & Bonnie Massey, her sister Lois Barrett & her sister & brother-in-law, Roberta Simon-Smith & Richard Smith, all of Bolton, numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. In addition, she had many dear friends, especially Maureen, Dawn, Irene & Lid, with whom she made lifelong memories.
Jean will always be remembered for her kindness, and a special love she had for her many pets on the farm where she grew up & her granddogs, Max, Nelly & Chloe.
There will be no calling hours & all arrangements will be at the convenience of the family.
