Joanne Swann

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Joanne Marie Swann of Stuart, Florida, formally of Annapolis, Maryland. Joanne passed away on Wednesday May 24th 2023 in Port St. Lucie Florida, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was a loving and caring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend; giving and generous. A real estate agent for over 40 years, she had a passion for working with people and making new connections. In her free time Joanne was an avid boater and enjoyed being on the water with her husband, family, and friends. She appreciated and supported the arts and music in her community. She was a long-time member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church; sang in the choir and participated in numerous church activities. Always on the go, Joanne was involved in several community organizations including the Rivers Coalition whose efforts seek balanced preservation of her beloved and beautiful natural Florida waterways. Joanne is preceded by her husband, Benjamin Randall Swann Jr and her parents Frank and Eleanore Synowiec. She is survived by her children Benjamin Randall Swann III, Jeanne Swann Hillock (Kevin) and Julie Swann Copeland (Paul), and her wonderful grandchildren Francesca Swann, Marston Copeland, Hayden Copeland and Arielle Hillock; as well as her friend and partner, Joseph Sawyer, seven siblings and 25 nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday July 15, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. John Neumann, 620 Bestgate Road Annapolis, Maryland 21401.
