I met Joanne Swann through her son, Ben Swann, the third. She was very warm to me and immediately accepted me in her family. We shared many nice dinners and family events. She was very generous with me in gifts, dinners and good advice. I sometimes felt like she was a "second Mother" to me. One example of this was I started an Etsy store of jewelry and Joanne brought me her personal jewelry to sell. This was at a great expense on her part as she had to carry it on her flights from Florida. She was always a very strong, independent and giving woman. I already miss her greatly!
