Joseph Aiello Obituary



On April 4, 2015 Joseph Aiello Sr, 96, of Fairfield Glade, Tenn. and formerly of Bowie. Born in Baltimore, Md, Joe graduated from Cliffside Park New Jersey H.S. in 1938. Joe was a WW II veteran and moved his family to Bowie in 1964. Joe, who was a volunteer firefighter and life member in Fairview, NJ for 20 yrs. joined the Bowie VFD in 1966 and remained active until moving in 1982. A co-founder of Collington Real Estate, Joe was also active in the Bowie Boys Club, DAV, Knights of Columbus and an active member of St. Pius X Church. In 1994 Joe moved to Fairfield Glade, Tenn. where he was once again active in the Knights of Columbus, Cumberland County Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity and he volunteered at Cumberland County Medical Center well into his 80's. Joe was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Catherine, his wife Ruth, his son Gary, four brothers and six sisters. He is survived by his daughters Donna Pascrell of New Jersey, Nancy Granados of Maryland and Marie Rogers of New Mexico, his sons Joe Jr. of Bowie and John of California 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services were held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Glade where more than 175 people attended to pay their respects. The family asks that any donations in honor of Joe be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
