Judith Biedenkapp

Judith Lyn Biedenkapp, 70, passed away peacefully at her home in Severna Park, MD on May 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM with her Golden Retriever Hala and husband of 35 years holding her hand in their sunroom, listening to Jimmy Buffett's "A Pirate Looks At 40". She fought a long unwinnable battle with Alzheimer's. She was born in Quincy, MA on February 2, 1955, the daughter of Ruth and William Kaitz, stepdaughter of Harold Fain. Jude attended Braintree high school, followed by a BS degree from UMASS Amherst. She married Gary Biedenkapp on Sept 19, 1989. This is when things get interesting. She met Gary, her husband, while waiting tables at the Chart House Annapolis, where she developed many life-long friends. The Chart House was a magical place for Jude. An entrepreneur at heart and having worked in many fields throughout her career including education, fitness instructor, computer programmer/analyst, Jude started several businesses, including Fitness Evolution and Bay Area Appraisers. Jude is survived by her husband Gary; sons, Brendan and Joe, Joe's wife Sarah, daughter, Meggan Biedenkapp. Her sister Susan Coombes, brother Rob Kaitz and nephews Josh and Jacob Coombes, Bill and Phil Kaitz, Andy Close and niece Tori Close. She had 5 grandchildren, Ella Lambiris (20), Dimitri Lambiris (18), Ava Lambiris (16), Miles Biedenkapp (14) and Quinn Biedenkapp (9). As well as her sisters-in-law and their partners; Patti and Peter Close and Heidi Biedenkapp and Jane Phend. Among many things Jude enjoyed were spending time with family and friends, traveling, being on the water, sitting on a beach, teaching group fitness classes, having a good laugh, and a good glass of wine. She gave incredible hugs to everyone she knew which all could tell came from her heart. She will forever be remembered and loved by all she touched.
